In July 2011, at age 23, Michael Spero became the youngest Division I FBS football play-by-play broadcaster in the United States.  Spero accomplished this in one of the nation's Top 5 media markets.  Currently, at age 24, Spero is the "Voice of the Spartans" at San Jose State University.  He handles play-by-play broadcasts for football and men's basketball.  Additionally, he is the host of the Mike MacIntyre Show.  His on-air work has been featured on CBS and ESPN.  Spero has also handled play-by-play duties at Santa Clara University (women's basketball) and Stanford (baseball).
In addition, he has hosted championship coverage for the West Coast Conference and the NCAA.  In 2010, Spero was ranked the #14 college broadcaster in the United States by the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America.  He is a three-time Kansas Association of Broadcasters award winner.  Spero graduated from the University of Kansas in May 2010.  As a KU broadcaster, he previously called Jayhawk football, men's/women's basketball and baseball.  If you are interested in contacting Spero please email him at Michael.L.Spero@gmail.com.
